CHOREOGRAPHY

STEP SHEETS

Rosalie is from Sydney and first started line dancing in 1995 with Yvonne Hammond from Peninsular Bootscooters. She choreographed her first dance just a few months after starting dancing and has had a passion for choreography ever since. Rosalie started teaching in 1995 with Peninsular, then in 1997 started classes in the Frenchs Forest area with Barbara and became known as R & B Linedancing. Barbara retired at the end of 2002

In 2003 Rosalie renamed the group “In Line Boots”.

Rosalie is kept busy with eight classes a week, one of which is a class of 35 to 40 students with special needs from the Sunnyfield Association. They absolutely love their line dancing and country music. Rosalie has named them her “Sunflowers”. As well she is involved with the local Belrose Country Music Club where she organises Line Dancing at the monthly concerts held at the Belrose Bowling Club. This created a further opportunity when the Management asked Rosalie and Carl Sullivan to do a monthly social. They agreed there was a definite need for a venue to cater specially for beginner and easy socials and they have proven to be a favoured venue and very successful.

Over the past few years Rosalie’s successful choreography and teaching has resulted in many invitations to do workshops, socials and judging both in NSW and interstate.

Highlights for 2004 were Rosalie & team dancing  “Their Hearts Are Dancing” waltz at a lunchtime concert in the Sydney Town Hall to the grand organ played by the resident organist Rob Guest (a world first) and a performance for 500 guests in the ballroom at Star City Casino.

Highlights for 2005 was an invitation to return to the Sydney Town Hall to dance two of Rosalie’s beautiful waltzes to the classical piece “Destiny Waltz” Played by Rob Guest.

Some of Rosalie’s very popular dances are “Alibis” “That Don’t Impress Me Much” “Their Heart’s Are Dancing” “Till It Snows In Mexico” “Lonesome Wins Again” “Beautiful Senorita” “Wings Of A Honky Tonk Angel” “Cadillac Tears” “ Don’t Touch My Heart” “Trembling Lips” “You’ve Got No Heart” “Slow Hand” “Fool On A Stool” “Just Got To Stay” “When Love Starts Talking” “Louisiana Melody” “Freewheeler” “All Day Long”

This year in Tamworth Rosalie will be teaching some of her new dances at workshops, entering the dance and choreography competition, judging and enjoying plenty of social dancing.
